XL Pastry Mat

One of the best tips I have ever learned is to get a very large pastry mat and fold it in half. Sandwich your dough in between the mat with a very little flour. Roll out dough without your rolling pin ever touching the dough!

Flexible Depth Rolling Pin

A rolling pin with guides to set the depth of the dough was an absolute game-changer for me. I had no idea these existed but they ensure you get the perfect depth you want on every cookie, every time!

Baking Mats

Baking mats can help to reduce spread and make clean up a breeze. I wouldn’t bake cookies without them. .

Shape-Shift Mini Cutters

My favorite set of shape-shifting mini cutters that include so many options for holidays, parties, events, etc. I use something from this set in pretty much every batch.

Sugar Needle

I love this sturdy scribe over some of the smaller, sharp, cheaper versions. I don’t use a scribe that often, but when I do, this is the one I get out.

Ingredient Containers

I have a separate area for supplies and it took me awhile to find the containers I like. These are air tight and stack, plus they have cute labels.

The SugarArt

Once I found this company and their Master Elite food dyes, I threw out every other brand I had. Not kidding. Their red and black are the best in the business and I love supporting this company. No commissions, I just love them.

Genie’s Dream Meringue Powder

My go-to Meringue Powder for making Royal Icing. It really is a dream, and another small business is behind this one. “Genie” is a real person, and I actually met her on a cookie site! I think it made both of our day.

Decorative Trays

Some of my cutest and most inexpensive trays come from my local Dollar Tree! They often have large trays for $1.25 in solid colors and seasonal decor. I have built up a stock but if I ever need a certain tray, Dollar Tree is always my first stop. .

Today I Choose JOY Apron

To me, cookies are all about the JOY. I love researching and designing a new set, I love the quiet, contemplative time while I am making them, and I love the JOY they bring others. I wanted to include some products that reflect that JOY.

JOY Apron

This apron is so cute it could be a cookie design. I hope making cookies brings you as much JOY as it does me.

JOY Apron

I love the leafy detail in the letters of this apron and the hearts. It reminds me of the doodles on my desk.

Decorated cookies with Royal Icing can be intimidating but I promise, my guide will make it simple for you to get started. Having good tools is half the battle!
